Scholarship Information and Applications

KTC Scholarship Mission Statement:  To reward outstanding students who embody exceptional character by maintaining the highest standards of personal conduct that reflect positively upon themselves, their families and the turfgrass industry.  The KTC Scholarship is being offered this year is much the same fashion as it has in the past.  Students must be full-time turfgrass management majors at the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University or Western Kentucky University.  As a recipient of a scholarship, you are expected to lead by example and to present yourself in public in an honorable fashion. All winners will be required to attend the Awards ceremony in Bowling Green Kentucky on October 21, 2008.  The following is a list of REQUIRED materials that you need to provide to be considered for this year's scholarship:

    • Completed application
    • Two letters of recommendation. (Not from your academic advisor).
    • A copy of your university transcripts
    • A professional copy of your résumé
    • A paragraph response (TYPED) to the following questions:
   
                    1. What are your plans after Graduation?
   
                    2. Why do you believe that you are deserving of this scholarship?

In addition to these items, there may be an interview process. Applicants will be notified by telephone to schedule interviews, if needed.
