NOTICE!!! The University of Kentucky Turf Program faculty and staff and the Kentucky Turfgrass Council staff will be at the Crowne Plaza during the week of February 20-24 and will NOT be able to reply to your phone calls. Regardless of weather, the Short Course will go on. If you have any questions, please come to the Registration Desk at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Conference Area and speak with one of the attendants there. We look forward to seeing you!


The cost for each day is $35, payable at the door by cash, credit card or money order.
FOR ALL DAYS: Registration opens at 8 AM. Educational Session begins at 9 AM

Monday, February 20

PESTICIDE APPLICATOR TRAINING AND EXAM REVIEW

This day is for anyone wanting to become a Kentucky certified pesticide applicator. Speakers will cover the information on the Pesticide Certification Exam, however you are encouraged to obtain the Pesticide Test Study Materials prior to this date. If you plan to take the exam, please go online and download a study packet. The exam will be given at approximately 3:00 P.M. on this day and again on Friday, February 24, 2012 at approximately 3:00 P.M.

To take the exam you must pay, ON SITE, $25.00 per person - check or money order ONLY
Make checks for the EXAM payable to "Kentucky State Treasurer"

Tuesday & Wednesday, February 21 & 22

MANAGEMENT BASICS
Basic soils, fertility, plant/grass selection, pest control and recommended
management practices for turf and ornamentals.

GOLF COURSE MANAGEMENT
Latest research, management techniques and products specific for golf turf.

SPORTS TURF MANAGEMENT
Issues dealing specifically with sports turf maintenance

COMMERCIAL LAWN CARE
New products, major pest problems and management/application programming.
