REC - PRINCETON, KENTUCKY
2001 EUROPEAN CORN BORER TRAP COUNTS

European corn borer

The graph above indicates the number of european corn borer moths caught in a pheromone baited trap on the University of Kentucky, Research and Education Center in Princeton, KY. We will update the graph each week until such time as we believe that the european corn borer populations have returned to normal activity. We hope that viewing this data in a graphic format will help you understand the cycles in european corn borer activity. However, this data is from just one location in the state. Also, remember insect activity rate is driven by temperature. If you live south of Princeton flights are likely to occur earlier and if you live north of Princeton then flights are likely to occur later.
