Fall is the best time to divide, prune, and propagate many perennials. Pat Schabel will demonstrate several techniques that will help you expand your perennial garden and prepare it for winter. Please pre-register. Cost: $5 (Friends $4)

Bonsai Workshop (Adults)
Instructor: Ryan Gugeler, Bonsai Artist
Join us for a hands-on introduction to the art of Bonsai. Ryan Gugeler will guide you in pruning and wiring your own Bonsai tree. You'll learn how to choose the right container and care for your creation as it matures. Class size is limited to the first twelve registered participants. Cost: $20 (Friends $18)

Experience the sights and scents of The Arboretum Rose Garden with rose expert Tim Phillips. Hike begins at the Visitor Center and lasts 60-90 minutes. Cost: $1

Fall Leaf Collections: A "How-To" Workshop
Instructor: Roberta Burnes, Arboretum Education Coordinator
Many students are required to complete a labeled leaf collection this time of year. This parent-child workshop will teach you how to identify the common trees of the Bluegrass using leaf shape and other characteristics. Students will learn how to mount and label five different specimens, while parents will learn how to support their children's project constructively. Please pre-register. Cost: $5 per person
