Downtown Home Page

The College has recently been involved with the city of Lexington, KY. Part of the process has been to build a computer model of downtown.

These pages are still in development stages. Currently, from this page, one can click on the image and another page similar will appear. On that particular page, the image is a clickable map. Click on any city block for a zoomed in view. After zooming in on a city block, one can click on an arrow to view that particular view.

These pages will be updated very soon. Please check back for a complete description of the project, updated images, animations, and VRML examples.

Autodesk's 3dStudio R4 was the primary modeling and rendering software used for this project. Images were manipulated in Adobe Photoshop. David Silvernell and Jeff Pickett were the primary students involved in modeling and image manipulation of the project. As a student, James Black participated in final rendering and video production and is now acting as faculty advisor.
