Hello, and welcome to "Reality Is Virtual", a story written by Nick Nevels and Cole Bennett, students of the College of Architecture at the University of Kentucky. Within the story we intend to explore questions of identity, truth, and reality, hopefully giving some credence to the new science of complexity and the new vision of the universe known as "cosmogenesis", and, of course, tying all this together through our theories on that great endeavor called architecture.

We don't claim to be professional writers, or scientists for that matter, but we have these ideas in our heads and this seemed a good means of fleshing them out for ourselves.

We also don't claim any real background in html-authoring, but we've tried to play around with it to achieve some interesting and perhaps even new effects which we feel aid the story-telling. It's a given that you rarely take time to read something on the web, and we've attempted some images which will hopefully be stimulating, but we are beginning to discover that html is an expressive medium somewhere between books and television and we hope that you find this story involving on many levels . Of course it looks better with . Specifically we would like to mention that the page which begins with the word "Stop." was written to give the feel of Random's thoughts as they come to him, so to really get this your browser window needs to be at least as wide as the bar below (two inches bigger if you're using V.1) and you need to use the down arrow on the vertical scrollbar on that page. Just hold it down, and don't click on the bar or drag the slider.

Thanks.
