Affiliation Application

Become an Affiliated Faculty or Graduate Student Associate

There are rewards in becoming an affiliated faculty or graduate student associate with our Program. Persons will be eligible to: cross-list courses with AASRP; borrow books and videos from the resource and reading room; reserve a time and space in one the of AASRP offices to conduct research activities; and place special individual orders for books and videos that will be available in the resource and reading room. Additionally, affiliated faculty and graduate student associates will be included on the AASRP list serve which will keep them informed of all AASRP communications.

Eligibility: To become recognized as an affiliated faculty or graduate student associate of AASRP, an individual must: teach a course in AASRP; be engaged in a research project which focuses or includes work on the African diaspora; or serve on an AASRP committee or program.

AASRP invites all UK faculty and graduate students interested in establishing a formal relationship with the Program to complete an application and submit it to our office indicating their interest in the study of the African Diaspora.

Application Process: Applications are available in the AASRP office, room 102 Breckinridge Hall. Office Hours are from 8-12 and 1- 4 p.m. Applications can also be completed on line. Go to the AASRP web site and the affiliation applications link.
