Geology and the Civil War

Geology played a vital role in practically every aspect of human existence, and has profoundly affected our history.  One such event that illustrates this interaction is the American Civil War (1861-1865).
This website explores a few key events of the American Civil War and examines how the geology of an area determined or affected what happened there.  We plan to offer you with a concise review of the geology and history of several events during the Civil War, and show how the two are closely related.
We invite you to explore this new area of thought, and see for yourself how geology effected the Civil War.  Comments, complaints, and contributions are welcome.  Anonymous feedback
