The Cretaceous Period

At the end of the Cretaceous Period five groups died. They are the dinosaurs,
pterosaurs, ichthyosaurs, pleisiosaurs and the mosasaurs. The movement of
North America made mountain building forces, which formed the Rocky Mountains.
In 17 C degree climates, cold blooded reptiles could live in northern climates.
During the breakup of the super continent Pangea, it formed Laurasia and
Gondwanaland. Toward the end of the Cretaceous Period, sea level rose, covering
a lot of land area.
