The Devonian Seafloor

In this image by noted geological artist Steve Greb, a junior-sized Dunkleosteus (about 1 meter long, or less) is prowling for a feast. Note the fancy rugose ("horn") corals down below. These are among the most common of the Devonian corals (and are extinct now).
