The Jurassic Period

The Jurassic period was 205-138 million years ago. Ginkoes and cycads dominated the plant life. Dinosaurs ruled the land as birds appeared. During this period the continents were clustered together like a supercontinent. The mammals were small and secretive, perhaps nocturnal. The Jurasic period is in the Mesozoic Era. Some important fossils in that period are ammonites, sea urchins, dinosaurs and their eggs.
