Cruise through the Time Machine looking at the different pages available for each of the Periods, Epochs, Eras.
On many of these pages, there is a list of pictures for which no writing exists (just a picture shows up when you click on the word "Another"). Your assignment is to choose one of these pictures and write a short web page about it.
When you find the picture you want to work with, write down the filename of the picture. For example, one page has this line:
Another - Permian picture: permian/perm2.jpg
The filename here is: "permian/perm2.jpg" (but don't write down the quotation marks). Other pages will have similar filenames, like "ordovici/ordo25.jpg" or something similar.
After you choose a picture, go to the library and find out cool stuff about your subject. Two short paragraphs, maximum (but make it good). Write it all down (on paper). Then come to this web page -- it has a form to fill out to create your web page for the Time Machine.
Follow the steps below (1 to ...) to fill out the form.
When the form is filled out, click on the button marked View My Page to check out your page. This will bring up a new window with your web page on it. IMPORTANT: CLOSE THAT VIEWING PAGE AFTER YOU VIEW IT! Just do it. Sorry, we'll work on that....
You'll probably want to edit some of your sentences, so CLOSE THAT VIEWING PAGE, and go back to the form. Make some changes to your wording. Hit the Generate button again, and View it again until it looks Good!
Finally, when all looks good, submit your page for review to Mark by hitting the Submit to WebMeisterMark! button.
