What is WebDoGS?

Welcome to WebDogs. Our web page is intended as a resource page for earth science information available on the Internet. We hope it is both simple to navigate and packed full of useful and interesting information.

Our Philosophy....  At WebDoGS, We Believe

• (1) That the Internet is Cool.... There is a lot of useful and entertaining information on the Internet. More good stuff shows up every day. So much, that a typical search on Yahoo! or other search engines might bring in 100,000 matches. We are here to help sort out the Geology and Earth Science portion of the Net so that you can find what you need quickly and easily.
  
• (2) That Geology is Fun!....  We're trying to put a lot of neat things here on WebDoGS to excite people about Geology. It is a fascinating field, and (we believe) one of the most interdisciplinary. Hopefully you'll be able to find some physics and biology, chemistry and astronomy, history, mathematics, anthropology and who-knows-what-else-here. We have a Time Machine to look through the "Old" stuff that makes geologic history and a Rocks In The News page to look for the latest in geology today. Look around, and give us feedback.
  
• (3) In Freedom of the Press (WE WANT YOU).... The power of the press is not just in saying what you have to say, but in getting that message disseminated effectively. Any of you can now put together an interesting webpage, but getting the world to surf to your page may not be an easy task. We want WebDoGS to be a place for YOU to publish anything of interest to the world of rockheads. We have a number of categories out there for you to surf through, but we also want you to PUBLISH with us. Keep your eyes open for anything here that appeals to your creative instincts -- whether you are aged 5 or 105, geologist, rockhound, student or professional, we want to have a place for you to add your two cents.
