Goals
- Increase the efficiency and effectiveness with which program review and annual progress reporting are achieved.
- Consult with and develop assessment strategies that meet units' assessment objectives, particularly those associated with program review and accreditation-related activities.
- Develop internal relationships with other UK units for purpose of seeking and applying for new funds to promote assessment work.
- Develop a program level assessment tool for volunteer use by units in advance of program review self-study process to identify student/staff/faculty needs, interests, and issues.
- Implement QEP Program (internally funded projects that focus on student learning outcomes associated with recommendations from program reviews).
- Establish an institution-wide assessment coordinating group to:
- promote multidimensional communications about assessment best practices
- identify campus needs and strategic initiatives
- improve and articulate campus-wide best practices
- build an enduring culture of assessment
- prepare campus to address the changing expectations of SACS institutional accreditation
- Develop and implement a process and a tool for systematic evaluation of Chief Academic Officers in accordance with AR II-1.0.6).
- Explore and develop new technology and professional development opportunities in support of institutional assessment goals.
