Deb Moore leaves the Office of Assessment
Deb Moore has been the Director of Assessment for the past seven years. She left the UK Office of Assessment in January 2008 and accepted a new position in the Office of Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Welcome New Staff
Pauline Chhooi is the new Assessment Specialist for the Office of Assessment. She has been working in this office as a part-time graduate research assistant for the past two and a half years before she took on her new role which started in November 2007. She obtained her Masters in Higher, Adult & Lifelong Education from Michigan State University and has a Bachelors degree in International Business Administration. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Educational Policy Studies & Evaluation at University of Kentucky and she also serves as a College of Education Ambassador. She is also a member of the International Honor Society in Education, Kappa Delta Pi.
Dr. Kenny Royal is the new Assistant Director of Assessment. Kenny comes to the Office of Assessment from the Ph.D. program in Educational Policy Studies & Evaluation. To date, Royal has presented and published over 15 academic papers and served as a reviewer for numerous journals. In addition, he has taught courses in developmental education and graduate educational statistics at UK, and was awarded the Teacher Who Made a Difference award for his efforts during his first semester of postsecondary teaching. Royal has also served as an evaluation and statistical consultant to various colleges and businesses throughout KY and TN. He also holds a Masters degree in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. His research interests include: Evaluation, Assessment, Measurement and Statistics; Institutional Research; and various issues pertaining to Higher Education.
Natasha Mamaril joined us as our Graduate Assistant in January 2008. Tasha has a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines and has worked for nine years in 3M Philippines. She has experience with Six Sigma and was process owner of the Best Greenbelt Project in 2006 for New Applications Development. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Educational Psychology in the College of Education in the University of Kentucky. Her research interests include engineering education, gender differences in academic achievement, and motivation.
