Regulations and Purpose

The University of Kentucky's Administrative Regulations requires that all organizational entities gthat provide educational, administrative, and academic support programs or services undergo a Program Review every five to seven years. Program Review is the primary vehicle for assessment of educational, administrative, and academic support units and for documentation of institutional effectiveness. The purpose of Program Review is to improve the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, research, public service, and operations. It does so by systematically examining missions, goals, objectives, resources, activities, processes, and outcomes of programs and services.
