Joseph Hoeing Kastle
1864 - 1916

Joseph Hoeing Kastle was educated at State College and received a doctorate in chemistry from Johns Hopkins. He taught at Johns Hopkins, State College, and the University of Virginia. He became dean of the College of Agriculture and director of the Kentucky Agricultural Experiment Station.

Kastle Hall on the University of Kentucky campus was named in his honor.
