Research Interests

I am working with Dr. Robert Lorch and I am currently involved in two main lines of research: 1) Control Variable Strategy--teaching 4th grade students the core logic of setting up an experiment which involves controlling and manipulating variables. 2) Signals in relation to text processing--signals (heading, preview, summary, etc) could facilitate text processing tasks in a variety of ways, such as facilitating a search task, enhance recall, or enhance transfer; I am also planning on measuring eye movement in relation to signal processing using eye-tracking devices.
