The University of Kentucky "CIO Practicum" series assembles leaders from Central Kentucky business, government and education communities to share personal insights and discuss technology trends. The goal is to increase leadership, collaboration and IT knowledge among executives in the region in a comfortable collaborative setting to tackle common issues. This ongoing series helps participants build a network of peers devoted to sharing best practices, renewing skills, and raising the level of technical “literacy” and effectiveness within their organizations. Participants share experiences and insights in an interactive and lively “Amish barn-raising” format focused on real-life situations. This provocative program is uniquely organized around “peer learning” and collective joint problem-solving, and has received extensive praise.
