Research Interests

My primary research interest lies in superimposing semantic frameworks over traditional informaton organization schemes/systems, aiming at the enhancement in accessing and retrieving information: 1) Automatic text categorization; 2) mapping among controlled and non-controlled vocabularies; and 3) concept-based clustering have been investigated. My secondary research interest is web mining, aiming at the discovery of unexplored knowledge along with the development of semantic tools for knowledge mining: 1) Knowledge on the understanding of the behaviour of web users; 2) Knowledge for the research productivity have been studied.
