Adrienne Whitt-Woosley, MSW, LCSW is the Associate Director of the Center on Trauma and Children and a clinical social worker. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Whitt-Woosley has worked with the children and families of Kentucky and focused her clinical and research efforts on enhancing family relationships and understanding and mitigating the impact of trauma. Ms. Whitt-Woosley has specifically worked to assist the child protection and Family Court systems statewide to prevent and treat child maltreatment through her work as program director of court-appointed evaluation and consultation services. She is also the former director of the UK Behavioral Health Disaster Response Project, and has served as an adjunct professor for the UK College of Social Work where she is currently a doctoral student. Ms. Whitt-Woosley’s scholarly work has focused on issues of secondary traumatic stress, high risk and fatal child maltreatment, evidence based practice, and trauma narrative research.
