About Us
The mission of the James W. Stuckert Career Center is to serve students, alumni, and employers with high-level career education programs and to provide students with work-based experience and employment opportunities.
Eligibility for Services
Any student currently enrolled in a degree program at the University of Kentucky is eligible for unlimited use of career counseling services including individual appointments, mock interviews, workshops, and use of the career resource library. Any student currently enrolled in a degree program and within three semesters of graduation from the University of Kentucky is eligible for all of the above services as well as use of Wildcat CareerLink and the on campus interview program.
Any University of Kentucky graduate is eligible for one appointment with a Career Center counselor and unlimited use of all other Career Center services.
Any local, state, national or international employer that provides equal employment opportunities and adheres to the National Association of Colleges and Employers ethical standards as outlined in the "Principles for Professional Conduct for Career Services and Employment Professionals" is eligible to use the University of Kentucky Career Center recruitment services.
Privacy Statement
The James W. Stuckert Career Center at the University of Kentucky is committed to providing privacy of personal information for our clients.
Job/internship listings, on-campus interviewing, and career fair registration are provided through Wildcat CareerLink, which is the Stuckert Career Center's online system. The Stuckert Career Center partners to provide these services through NACElink. NACElink is an alliance of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), a nonprofit professional organization for career centers and employers; the Direct Employers Association, a nonprofit association of national employers; and Symplicity Corporation, a state-of-the-art technology provider of web-based tools and software solutions. For details on their privacy practices, please review the NACElink Privacy Policy and the Direct Employers Privacy Policy. All privacy policies for our partners have been reviewed by Career Services.
Jobs and internships posted on the Wildcat CareerLink system may or may not be reviewed before posting. Site users are urged to validate job postings and use caution and common sense when applying. Do not disclose social security numbers, credit card information, or bank account numbers to unknown employers. Although Stuckert Career Center maintains ownership of all student profile data and resumés in Wildcat CareerLink, resumés and profiles of students and alumni participating in any of these services reside on the NACElink servers. There is a local resumé database in which students and alumni will have the option to place their resumé.
Student and employer information from Wildcat CareerLink/NACElink may be used to construct aggregate reports that assist Stuckert Career Center in program planning for statistical reports or to inform clients of services and programs that may be of interest. This information may also be used to troubleshoot problems and is accessible only to Stuckert Career Center staff. Any information shared with parties outside of Stuckert Career Center is shared only in aggregate form.
