The Asia Center would like to thank everyone for their support and participation in the ArtsAsia Festival, organized by the University of Kentucky Asia Center and the UK Asian Fine Arts Initiative.

The Arts Asia Festival 2009, a week-long celebration of Asian art and culture, with world-class musicians, artists, dancers, scholars, and educators began on October 17th and ended on October 24th, 2009. In eight days, we were proud to present 21 events to the students and faculty of UK, as well as the people of Lexington and Central Kentucky. Despite the lack of history and reputation of the ArtsAsia Festival, the attendance and feedback exceeded expectations at almost every event.

To all of you who visited one or more of the events of this first-ever festival: thank you so much for taking the time to join us and "Embrace Asia!"
