Improving School Learning Environments in HIV Prevention
The "ISLE" or "Learning Environments" project is funded by the National Institute for Nursing Research. This project involves conducting a series of one-semester-long experiments focused on variables related to teacher preparation and training to assess their relationship to effectiveness of an HIV and pregnancy-prevention school-based curriculum targeted at high sensation-seekers and impulsive decision-makers. You can send information to the research team using LEARNENV@LSV.UKY.EDU If you are a project collaborator, data files and codebooks are available for analysis. (Information is password protected) School websites, directions to schools , and forms for researchers who are conducting classroom observations or surveying classes are available as printable documents. The project runs from 2002-2007.
