2006: Student Trip to Havana, Cuba.
UK Historic Preservation students traveled to Havana, Cuba to experience the architecture of the city first-hand.

2005: Germany
A group of Historic Preservation, Architecture, and Interior Design students traveled to Germany to collaborate with Dutch and German architects and urban planners in the city of Wismar. The group studied infill design and transportation and urban revitalization issues.

2005 NTHP Conference, Portland, Oregon
Students from UK's Historic Preservation program played a role at the National Trust's annual conference this year. We attended a huge variety of sessions, met a lot of great people both professional and academic, and hosted some events.
Modern Architecture of Chicago
The American Architecture II class traveled to Chicago to study that city's modern architectural gems, recording observations and drawing in journals of the trip.


The Pope Villa (Latrobe)
Liz Gallow is the 2005-2006 Pope
Villa Intern, and the Pope Villa resident caretaker. The Pope Villa was designed by Benjamin Henry Latrobe and built in 1812. Amy gives tours
to those interested in the house with a focus on the
architectural evolution of the building and its

& Archaeology
The Lyric Theater presents a multi-disciplinary approach to preservation
research. The house itself was built in 1805. Students are studying
the house, its condition, the landscape, and its historic context.
The project includes measured drawings, archival research, and conditions
assessments.
