Lisa Gilbert Williams is Executive Director at the University of Kentucky Institute for Workplace Innovation (iwin). A strategic-thinker and an opportunity-seeker, Lisa is positioning iwin to become the go-to organization for all things workplace related. With a solution-focused mentality, Lisa has a zest for improving processes and systems, maneuvering around pitfalls, and thinking outside the box.

mwlMeredith Wells-Lepley, PhD

Director of Research & Consulting

Meredith Wells-Lepley, Ph.D. is iwin’s Director of Research and Consulting. In her research role, Dr. Wells-Lepley is responsible for iwin's research agenda including current funded projects on workplace flexibility and the multigenerational workforce. She also oversees iwin’s Innovative Employer Assessment and all employee surveys conducted for Kentucky employers. In her consulting role, Dr. Wells-Lepley is iwin’s lead consultant conducting workshops and trainings on change management, leadership, workplace communication, organizational culture, and customer service. 

stephanieStephanie Shaw

Manager of Operations & Partner Services

As the Manager of Operations & Partner Services, Stephanie is responsible for ensuring that the Institute runs smoothly. She works closely with the Executive Director on fiscal management, planning, and day-to-day operations and making certain that iwin is compliant with university policies and procedures. In addition to operations tasks, Stephanie is in frequent communication with iwin's Roundtable Partners, ensuring they receive quality service.

nickNick Coomer, BA

Manager of Survey Operations

Nick is currently a research assistant at iwin. He has been analyzing quantitative data, working with the innovative employer assessment survey for iwin’s Roundtable Partners as well as managing employee and organizational surveys on Qualtrics. He also works on the employer engagement side at iwin by fulfilling partner listserv discussion requests.

jess Jess Miller Clouser, MPH

Research Affiliate

Jess is a research associate in the College of Public Health’s Department of Health Behavior and is a research affiliate of the Institute for Workplace Innovation, iwin. She currently serves as the administrative principal investigator of the Thoroughbred Worker Health and Safety Study, a five year, CDC-funded study aiming to improve the health and safety of workers on Thoroughbred farms.

jennifer Jennifer Swanberg, PhD

Research/Faculty Affiliate

Dr. Jennifer Swanberg is the founding director of iwin and a professor at the University of Maryland College of Social Work. Dr. Swanberg is a Research Fellow of the Boston College Work & Family Roundtable, and a member of the Employee Policy Research Network. She is still involved with iwin in various capacities.
