jennifer Jennifer Swanberg, PhD

Executive Director, On Leave

Dr. Swanberg is the executive director and founder of iwin and a professor in the UK College of Social Work with joint appointments in the Colleges of Business and Economics, Medicine and Public Health. She is a faculty affiliate with the UK Center on Poverty Research and the Center for the Advancement of Women's Health, a Research Fellow of the Boston College Work & Family Roundtable, and a member of the Employee Policy Research Network.

mwlMeredith Wells-Lepley, PhD

Senior Research Associate


A quantitative specialist, Dr. Wells-Lepley is responsible for iwin's surveys and assessments. Her responsibilities include research design, survey construction, data analysis, and results reporting of research conducted for both research purposes and employer purposes. Employer-focused surveys consist of iwin's Innovative Employer Assessment, employee engagement surveys, and other surveys assessing employee opinions on various workplace issues. 

jessLisa Williams, MSSA

Assistant Director of Management & Operations


Lisa, the assistant director of management & operations for iwin, is responsible for ensuring that the institute runs smoothly. She works closely with the executive director on fiscal management, planning, and day-to-day operations. In addition to her role as the assistant director of manangement & operations, Lisa serves as project coordinator for some of iwin's research projects.

shannon Shannon Holbrook

Director, Employer Engagement

Shannon serves iwin and our Roundtable Partners in her role as the Director of Employer Engagement. She develops and implements growth initiatives for the Innovative Employer Roundtable Partners, building relationships with and recruiting Kentucky’s leading employers. She manages the public relations, marketing and event planning aspects of iwin’s array of services in our pursuit of innovative best practices for the 21st century workplace.

jess Jess Miller Clouser, MPH

Research Associate

Jess’s duties at iwin revolve mostly around research.  Specifically she works on grant writing, project management, conducting literature reviews, designing interview protocols, conducting interviews, and analyzing data.  Jess also writes and edits content for academic and applied research reports and articles, and co-manages the website. She currently manages the Thoroughbred Worker Health and Safety Study, but also provides support for other projects as needed. 

nickNick Coomer, BA

Research Assistant

Nick is currently a research assistant at iwin. He has been analyzing quantitative data, working with the innovative employer assessment survey for iwin’s Roundtable Partners as well as managing employee and organizational surveys on Qualtrics. He also works on the employer engagement side at iwin by fulfilling partner listserv discussion requests.

stephanieStephanie Shaw, BA

Employer Engagement Assistant

Stephanie is the employer engagement assistant and co-manages the iwin website. Stephanie assists the Employer Engagement Team in all aspects, from helping to plan and prepare the semi-annual Roundtable Meetings to prepping for consulting workshops and trainings. Stephanie also coordinates iwin’s social media activites and compiles iwin's newsletters.

katieKatie Webster, MPH

Research Assistant

Katie Webster is a research assistant for the Thoroughbred Worker Health and Safety Study. She assists with project reviews, organization, and content analysis. She also provides research support for the Breast Cancer Survivorship and Work Project. iwin tasks include implementing interviews, completing analysis of qualitative data, and utilizing various scientific software to better assess public health concerns of the workplace.
