A native of Kentucky, Hannah attended the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio, where she majored in English and led several environmental justice groups. After graduating with her BA, she returned to Kentucky to work at the Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning, where she did AmeriCorps VISTA positions for two years and was then the Tutoring Program Director. While at the Carnegie Center, she also helped start the nonprofit organization Lexington Film League, taught memoir writing, and ran a contemporary film and book discussion group. Currently a graduate student at the University of Kentucky, Hannah is pursuing her Masterís Degree in English. Her thesis research is a focused on 20th Century literature, therapy, body studies, and critical social theory. At UK, Hannah is an instructor in the division of Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Media, where she teaches courses based around place, identity, and community engagement. In her free time, she continues to tutor at the Carnegie Center, rides her bike, writes letters, and makes mixed-media art projects.
