This high-energy presentation describes 20 essential elements of successful worksite health and wellness programs, powerful policy and built environment levers, real-life examples of integrated worker protection/health promotion programs, and promising best practices. Casey will discuss special demographic challenges facing employers and strategies for building a winning wellness culture will be explored. Learn novel concepts for engaging workers, motivating change, and sustaining success. Be one of the first to hear of a new effort at NIOSH dedicated to the total health of workers, integrating traditional occupational health and worker protection programs with proven, innovative health promotion interventions. Through NIOSH’s WorkLife and Total Worker Health programs, Dr. Casey Chosewood is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health and well-being of America’s workers.  Previously, he served as the Director of CDC’s Office of Health and Safety serving the 15,000 members of the CDC workforce through safety programs, Occupational Health, environmental protection and health promotion and prevention initiatives.  Casey served as the Medical Director of CDC’s three occupational health clinics.  He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed residency in Family Medicine at the University of Connecticut.  He has been an Assistant Professor of Family and Community Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine since 1997.
