Green cloverworms are pale green caterpillars with two white stripes running along each side of the body.
There are 4 pairs of prolegs - 3 pairs on the abdomen and one pair on the last (anal) segment.

Alfalfa caterpillar- dark green with one white stripe along the abdomen. It has 5 pairs of prolegs and the body is
covered with fine hair-like setae.
