The College's hosts numerous events each year. Those events include the: Joe Creason Lecture: Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame Luncheon and Induction Ceremony; James C. Bowling Executive-in-Residence Lecture Series; Lifetime Achievement Award in Public Relations Luncheon; three Richard G. Wilson Alumni Speakers' Symposium; McConnell Children's Literature Conference; School of Library and Information Science Alumni and Awards Banquet; Bids for Brains Scholarship Fundraiser and our College Awards and Recognition Dinner. The College Awards Dinner will be held November 20 at the Hilary J. Boone Center. Tickets are $25.00. For information contact Janice Birdwhistell 859.257.4241. Alumni are welcome to attend any of these events.

The UK Alumni Association offers an Online Community where you can connect to your former friends and classmates. Another service offered to registered alumni through the Online Community is WIRED CATS. WIRED CATS allows you to develop an online network of alumni friends and acquaintances with whom you can easily communicate. Alumni are encouraged to invite other UK alumni who are friends, colleagues and acquaintances to join their WIRED CATS Network. As networks are created, users are able to send and receive messages within their network of friends, send and receive event invitations, update personal profile information, and use career services.
