Services Available
Change
of Major / College Requests:
If you want to change your major, the
change begins by contacting the College
that you wish to move to.
- For example, if you wanted to change
to a Biology major (which is located in
the College of Arts & Science), you
need to first go to the A&S Dean's
Office, change to the new major there.
Then come back to your current Dean's
office to get your official file folder
and take that to the new College office.

Petitions
A written petition must
be filed for any change in any requirement
(degree, major, cognate, etc.). A carbonized
form can be found in the mailboxes by
230 EGJ.
Petitions require the
approval of your academic advisor, the
Departmental Chair and the Dean of the
College.

to take a course working within your own
timeframe?
You
can take up to 1 full calendar year to
complete a course (these used to be called
"correspondence" courses). You
work completely on your own; there are
no formal class meetings.
Once the grade has been assigned, it becomes
part of your official university record
and is listed as part of the semester
when you completed the course. For list
