INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATION EVALUATION RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

From 1976 to 1978 I was a Media Research Analyst for the Media Research Division of the Office of Research of the U.S. Information Agency. As a Media Research Analyst I identified the basic issues underlying research problems; developed plans for major research projects; constructed project designs; contracted projects; prepared contract specifications; supervised contractors; performed data analysis, data preparation and computer analysis; and finally, I wrote reports for the use of both Agency management and Agency practitioners. I was responsible for international research projects that involved large scale personal interview surveys, mail surveys, content analysis, panels, and management information systems. COUNSELING EXPERIENCE PRIOR TO 1990

Academic Undergraduate Counselor

In the Summer of 1975 I counseled undergraduates in the Department of Communication at MSU on their academic programs. From 1978 to 1982 I counseled an average of 14 UW-Milwaukee undergraduates on their academic programs. From 1982-88 I counseled an average of 25 undergraduates at Arizona State University and at SUNY/Buffalo.

Veterans Assistance Counselor

Counseled veterans who were drug addicted or alcoholics in a rehabilitation program in the Battle Creek, Michigan, Veteran's Administration Hospital. In this capacity I assisted veterans in securing employment, housing, veterans benefits, and other resources that would aid in their recovery once they left the program.
