Citizens within the Commonwealth
of Kentucky are emphasizing reading from early childhood through adult
literacy. Teenagers, right in the middle of that age span, often need
special encouragement to read! The Young Adult Library Services Association
(YALSA) of the American Library Association has created a web site
resource to help parents, teachers, and librarians/library media specialists
promote teenage reading. Teens can read,
write and submit book reviews, participate
in a discussion forum, or link
to teen-related sites from homework to sports.
