Suggestions for Practicum Activities
Each library media center is unique; therefore no list of suggestions will apply to every situation or be all-inclusive. The following activities and experiences may be of assistance to the student and the cooperating librarian when planning for the student's practicum experience. Please note that this list is intended as a guideline, not a checklist. The cooperating librarian and the student should work together to design the practicum experience to best serve the student's professional development needs. EACH practicum student should discuss discipline/LMC management and collaboration with teachers with the LMS in both practicum placements and respond to that discussion in their journal reflections.
