UK SLA Student group

The University of Kentucky SLA Student Group is proud to be members of an international professional association dedicated to developing the leadership, performance, and excellence of information professionals. Here at the School of Library and Information Science at the University of Kentucky, our goals as a student group are to introduce library and information science students to the opportunities that arise, the challenges to be faced, and the competencies expected of professionals in special librarianship.
To meet these goals we:

Tour academic, corporate, legal, and medical libraries, museums, and nonprofit organizations.
Host special librarian guest speakers from the Northern Kentucky/Southern Ohio area.
Introduce students to special librarians working in their own area of interest.
Provide resources to help student members attend SLA conferences.
