





Siebe Bakker is an architect, founder and director of bureaubakker, a firm that facilitates cross-disciplinary exchanges between various industries and educational institutions. bureaubakker inspires these clients to engage in critical confrontations, revealing both disparate and analogous methods and techniques. These exchanges facilitate the development of innovative design approaches, strategic scenario techniques, and cross-cultural collaborations.
In February 2009, bureaubakker worked with the Dutch concrete precast industry to produce “Prefab Concrete Case Studies”. This project was awarded the Dutch Building Award in the category of ”Services and Communication” for successfully organizing an exchange of knowledge between producers and designers.
Siebe Bakker graduated with honors in 1992 from the Technical University of Delft’s program in Architectural Design and Theory. After graduating Bakker opened an architectural office and completed a number of built projects before moving on to found his current consulting practice. During the past seventeen years Bakker has held teaching positions at the Technical University of Delft, Design Academy Eindhoven, and the Academy of Architecture Amsterdam. He has also been invited to speak at numerous institutions including the Royal College of Art, SCI-Arc, and the Berlage Institute.
