The Hunter M. Adams College of Design Library houses the collections which pertain to architecture, interior design and historical preservation. The collection is primarily a design collection with a strong emphasis on works by architects and designers in the U.S., Europe and contemporary Japan. Materials relating to historic interiors and furniture focus primarily on the U.S. and Great Britain. The Design Library's collection circulates with the following exceptions: reserves, bound and current periodicals, special collections and reference.

The College of Design Media Center contains approximately 75,000 slides as well as publishing facilities. The Center, located in the Design Library, houses a collection of over 75,000 images representing Architecture, Interior Design, and Historic Preservation. The collection is available as analog slides or digitally through our online database. An additional 20,000 digital images are available through the MDID Madison Digital Image Database. For instructions on the how to use the system consult this user's manual. For additional information about available image databases, please contact the Media Center Curator, Derrick Meads.

The Media Resources Center also has a selection of digital cameras, camcorders, and digital projectors available for student use. The equipment may be checked out for twenty four hour periods.
