Projects

A Study of Central Kentucky's Historic Farm Properties, 1780-1960

This project examines the agricultural history and farm properties of a 19-county area of the state and proposes a methodology for documenting them and evaluating their eligibility for listing in the National Register of Historic Places

A Historical, Geographical Study of Fayette County's Small Rural Communities with Planning Recommendations

This project researched the formation, building and evolution of 14 small communities in Fayette County's Rural Services Area and will recommend preservation and planning mechanisms for their protection

"Landscape History: Unifying the Perspectives of Cultural Geography and Vernacular Architecture"

Dissertation project, tentatively titled, will join the two literatures, "ground testing" a proposed "landscape history" through close study of a large antebellum farm property in central Kentucky
