Women & Philanthropy

Women & Philanthropy at the University of Kentucky is a program to recognize, celebrate and empower our alumnae and women friends. The initiative encourages the participation of women in leadership roles, engages women as philanthropists, and recognizes women for the significance of their generosity.

The program focuses on women’s philanthropic issues to engage alumni and friends in the life of the University. The relationships are mutually beneficial: the University enables these women to gain personal satisfaction from serving in leadership roles, sharing their networks and resources, and achieving full confidence in their philanthropic capabilities. At the same time, we benefit from their knowledge, experience, and personal and financial resources.

Women who have made gifts or pledges of at least $25,000 to any area of the University are invited to join the Women’s Philanthropy Association. In recognition of their support, those who join the Women’s Philanthropy Association will be offered special courtesies and benefits of membership. The Association is led by a volunteer donor advisory board.

Members may make gifts to any area of the University of Kentucky. If you are interested in learning more about the Women & Philanthropy program, contact Remona Edenfield, Special Programs Officer, at remona.edenfield@uky.edu or (859) 257–7893.
