UK Dining Services is proud to offer a wide variety of menu items. We serve everything from apples to ziti. Sandwiches‚ salads‚ soup‚ pizza‚ burgers‚ veggies‚ pasta‚ tacos‚ oriental entrées and frozen yogurt are just a few of the items you can find. We also take pride in the fact that every location offers numerous low–fat and vegetarian items. If you want it‚ you’ll find it at one of our locations!
Ag North Deli
This deli is conveniently located in the lobby of Agriculture Science North. A great place to stop between classes to grab a quick breakfast‚ deli sandwich‚ soup‚ chili and side salads. Dining Plan‚ Flex Dollars‚ Plus Account and cash accepted.
Blazer Café
Located in Blazer Hall‚ the Blazer Café offers made–to–order breakfast‚ grilled burgers and sandwiches‚ Block & Barrel Deli fresh sandwiches‚ a daily lunch and dinner entrée‚ grab–n–go salads‚ soups‚ fruits and desserts; self–serve pasta‚ stir–fry and baked potatoes. Blazer Xpress

The Commons Market
One of the several food courts on campus‚ Commons Market offers everything from gilled sandwiches to Veggie Works! The Stir–Fry Station‚ Bakery Street‚ Fourth Quarter‚ and The Lettuce Leaf are a few of your options! The Corner Store

ID Policy
All photos on the WildCard Student ID should be checked to verify that the person using the card is indeed the owner of the card. If you are unsure that the person using the card is the actual owner of the card‚ feel free to ask for another form of ID. We have a responsibility to the students to protect their accounts as best we can.
Any student making a purchase of $20 or more on either a Diner or Plus Account should be asked to sign the receipt. The signature should be verified with the one on the WildCard Student ID as another means of making sure the person using the account is the correct one. Any misused WildCard Student ID should be confiscated.

- I am to be courteous to customers at all times and under any circumstances.
- I am to become familiar with items on the menu each day in order to better serve our customers.
Scheduling
- I am to work no more than 37½ hours a week. Any hours worked over 37½ must be approved by a manager.
- International students may not work over 20 hours per week during academic periods without proper documentation (green card‚ notification from International Student Office).
- I am responsible for knowing my schedule‚ and reporting to work at my scheduled time. All employees are required to work during snow periods.
- Changes in my schedule must be given in advance and approved by a supervisor.
- Due to absences‚ heavy business‚ or other circumstances‚ my schedule may be altered by the supervisor. I am willing to accept such changes and perform any job assigned by my supervisor.
- When voluntarily leaving the employment of UK Dining Services‚ I am required to give a two week notice. If I do not‚ I may not be eligible for rehire at the University.
- If I am unable to work‚ I will get a qualified substitute approved by my supervisor. Missing work on three occasions without finding a substitute is grounds for dismissal. Three tardies are the same as one absence.
- I am hired for one semester at a time and must be rehired for each subsequent semester. My employment does not include academic recesses unless requested by a supervisor.
- I am required to work some hours during finals week to be eligible for rehire with UK Dining Services during the next semester.
Timekeeping and Attendance
- I understand that tardiness is unacceptable unless approved by a supervisor‚ and that disciplinary actions will be taken for excessive tardiness.
- Clocking in or out for a fellow employee or altering a time record is grounds for dismissal.
- I will not clock in early or clock out late without permission of my supervisor. Clocking in or out on the time clock is the responsibility of the employee. Should you have any questions about your in or out punch‚ you should speak with a supervisor. Failure to show punches on your timecard may result in missed pay.
- I am responsible for clocking in and out in order to be paid correctly.
Rest Breaks and Employee Meals
- I am eligible for a 15 minute rest break if I am scheduled to work 4 hours‚ and two 15 minute rest breaks if I am scheduled to work 7½ hours. Scheduling of breaks is determined by supervisors.
- I understand that I receive a 30 minute lunch period for each 5 hours worked and that 30 minutes will be deducted from my time. I am eligible for a meal each shift that I work. Any meal break taken during a work shift will result in 30 minutes being deducted from my time.
- My employee meal is for me alone‚ and not to be shared with customers‚ friends or fellow employees. I may not take home or give away anything from my meal that I do not eat.
- I am not allowed to take home any leftovers or excess food after work. Taking food items home is grounds for dismissal.
Uniforms and Dress Code
- I am responsible for adhering to the dress code for the area in which I work. I should be in uniform before clocking in for work.
- Good personal hygiene is important in all social situations‚ but most especially in a work environment where we must deal with food and the public.
- I am responsible for the upkeep of any uniform assigned to me by UK Dining Services. In order to receive a satisfactory separation evaluation upon leaving the employment of UK Dining Services‚ I must return my uniform when I receive my last paycheck.
Cash Handling and Theft
- I am responsible for the money in the cash registers. Significant shortages and overages of cash are a serious matter and I realize that such an occurrence may result in disciplinary action.
- I am responsible for the product‚ money‚ equipment‚ vehicle and stockroom with which I work. Money‚ products‚ equipment‚ etc. should be secured at all times. Failure to do so will subject me to disciplinary action.
- I will report any vandalism or theft to my supervisor immediately. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
- I bring personal items to work at my own risk. UK Dining Services is not responsible in case of loss or theft.
- Failure to charge a customer is grounds for dismissal.
University Vehicle Procedures
- I must be over 21 in order to operate a University vehicle. I am to obey all traffic laws while driving a University vehicle. Failure to do so will subject me to disciplinary action.
- I will carry my driver’s license at all times while operating a University vehicle. Failure to follow proper parking procedures will subject me to disciplinary action.
Miscellaneous Items
- The telephones are for business calls only. Friends and relatives should not try to call me at work‚ except in the case of an emergency.
- I am responsible for reading and understanding the information written in the daily memo.
- My employment is conditional upon successful completion of a two week probationary period‚ during which I may be dismissed if I don’t exhibit the qualities necessary to do the job as required by supervision.
