Dining Plans

Meal plans for the 2008 - 2009 academic school year will be changing. Pricing and information will be available May 1‚ 2008.

All students who will live in residential student housing are automatically enrolled in the minimum dining plan-110 meals per semester. This automatic enrollment is part of the housing contract. Students wishing to upgrade their dining plan may do so by going to room 101 of the Student Center or by downloading the Residence Hall/Upgrade Downgrade form from the “Changing Your Plan” section of this page and mailing it to the address listed.

All Dining plans are one-year contracts that last through the Fall and Spring semester of an academic year. You will automatically begin the Spring semester on the same plan with which you ended the Fall semester.

Changing Your Dining Plan

Dining plan upgrades may be made at any time during the semester. Downgrades may be made during the first three weeks of a semester. After the first three weeks‚ no downgrades are allowed for the remainder of the semester.

Deadline dates for downgrading a dining plan:

  • Fall 2007: September 11
  • Spring 2008: January 29

Flex Account

All students are eligible to put money into this account‚ which allows students the flexibility to spend money at any UK Dining Services unit. Money can be added to the Flex Account at any time during the semester. This account works in a similar fashion to the Plus Account‚ but monies are used strictly for Dining Services locations. Flex dollars are non–refundable and non–transferable between semesters.

NOTE: Flex Dollars and unused meals are non–refundable and non–transferable between semesters.

Changing Your Dining Plan

To sign–up for a Dining Plan‚ download the Non-Residence Hall Sign–up/Upgrade/Downgrade form‚ fill out both pages of the document‚ and return (via mail or in person) to the Dining & Plus Account Office (Room 101‚ Student Center Building‚ Lexington‚ KY 40506–0030).
