Listed below are campus departments and resources that can help you find and enroll in distance learning courses and programs. These courses operate according to the same admissions and registration process as on-campus courses.
The academic calendar is the resource for finding out important dates, including application deadlines and priority registration windows. It is divided according to the five yearly terms: Fall Semester, Winter Intersession, Spring Semester, Four-Week Intersession (First Summer Session), and Eight-Week Intersession (Second Summer Session). All of the dates are the same for Distance Learning courses and face-to-face courses.
Use the course catalog to see what classes are offered at the University of Kentucky. The catalog has a check-box on the search page that allows you to limit your results to Distance Learning offerings, which will include both online and interactive video courses. Distance Learning classes have a "200" section number and courses that are exclusively online typically list the location and time as "TBD" and have the note "Location: via Internet" underneath the course listing. Note that you must know the course prefix (the department or college offering the course) to search the course catalog. To see a complete listing of available Distance Learning courses, please select the schedule for the appropriate semester from the "Course Schedules" section of the navigation on the left. To see available programs, please see our programs page.
The Registrar's Office is the main source of information about registration, transcripts, and more. It is also the main source of information about residency, and the residency site includes the residency policy, information about the application process, and the application itself.
