On behalf of the Office for Institutional Diversity, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you as you prepare to graduate from the University of Kentucky. In light of your magnificent achievement, we are requesting the presence of you and your family at our Harambee Celebration. The Harambee Celebration is a traditional gathering of parents, family members, friends, faculty and staff designed to properly recognize and honor this very special moment. The Harambee Celebration represents a time of coming together, marking an achievement which is individual, communal and cultural!
The 2014 Harambee Celebration will be held on Friday, May 9th at 7:00pm in the UK Student Center, Worsham Theater, with a reception to immediately follow in the Grand Ballroom. Graduates will be notified about the Rehearsal time once they are registered. Rehearsal should last no longer than 1 hour. All participants are expected to attend and be on time for the rehearsal.
Please note that all students who graduated in December 2013, will graduate in May 2014 or are eligible to graduate in August 2014 are invited to participate in this celebration.
