UKMED2014 - Application Open!
Applications are currently being accepted for the 5th Annual University of Kentucky Minority Education Development (UKMED) Program. This selective program is geared towards prospective medical student applicants during their junior or senior year of study and beyond from underrepresented minority groups (African-American, Hispanic/Latino, Native American, Asian-Pacific Islander, first generation students, and students from the Appalachian region).
The purpose is to provide these students with a positive first-hand look at the University of Kentucky's College of Medicine thereby encouraging them to give serious consideration to applying. Selected participants will have the opportunity to meet and interact with faculty, alumni, and current students while attending information sessions, panels, and virtual anatomy labs.
**Keep in mind there are a limited number of spots available in this program so we will be considering those students really serious and ready to apply to medical school. These would include students who have applied to medical schools during the spring/summer 2014 or will apply during the spring/summer 2015.
UKMED 2014 will take place on Sunday, August 17th and Monday, August 18th at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. Interested students, click here to complete an application.
Deadline to submit an application for UKMED 2014 is June 14th, 2014.
