Located at the heart of Central Kentucky's famed scenic Bluegrass Region, Lexington is home to downtown skyscrapers overlooking acres of lush pastures. It's where bourbon was born and burley tobacco is raised. It's where champion horses are bred, foaled, trained, bought, sold, raced and retired.

Conference Hotel

Conference rate at the Lexington Hyatt is $89/night. Online hotel registration is available on the hotel website. The hotel is just over a mile from the conference site. Busses will provide transportation between the hotel and the University of Kentucky campus. Parking on campus will also be available near the conference site. Although the recommended reservation date has passed, the conference rate should still be available. Travel to Lexington

Lexington's central location puts the city about a day's drive to 75% of the population of the US. Accessible by air with approximately 100 direct and nonstop flights from major airports around the world.

Flying. There are three airports convenient to Lexington. Options are:

• Lexington's Bluegrass Airport is right here in town (airport code = LEX). The hotel is a short cab ride away. This is a smaller airport, primarily served by smaller planes. The other two airports are usually (but not always!) less expensive.
• The Louisville International Airport is about 90 miles away from Lexington (airport code = SDF for "Standiford Field"). Driving directions to Lexington: From the airport, take Interstate 64 east about 75 miles. There are three exits on I-64 (after it merges with Interstate 75) to bring you into Lexington.
• The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport is also about 90 miles away from Lexington (airport code = CVG). Driving directions to Lexington: From the airport, take Interstate 275 East (or South) to Interstate 75 South (at this point, I-75 and Interstate 71 are merged, but I-71 breaks off after a while.) Continue on I-75 South all the way to Lexington. Again, after I-64 merges with I-75, there are several exits that will bring you into the city.

Driving.

• From the North: Take Interstate 275 East (or South) to Interstate 75 South (at this point, I-75 and Interstate 71 are merged, but I-71 breaks off after a while.) Continue on I-75 South all the way to Lexington. Again, after I-64 merges with I-75, there are several exits that will bring you into the city.
• From the South: Take Interstate 75 and go north into Lexington. You can get off at the Athens-Boonesboro Road (exit 104), take a left at the top of the ramp onto Richmond Road, which will bring you into downtown (it becomes Main Street in town).
• From the East: Take Interstate 64 west, then go south on Interstate 75 when it reaches town. Take any one of the three exits on I-75 that will bring you into town.
• From the West: Take Interstate 64 east about 75 miles. There are three exits on I-64 (after it merges with Interstate 75) to bring you into Lexington.
