Old Kentucky Night event at the Kentucky Horse Park. Enjoy a casual evening of dinner, dancing and touring the grounds of a beautiful theme park, dedicated entirely to the horse, set in the heart of the Bluegrass. Southern hospitality Kentucky style the way it was meant to be. The park is a working horse farm with 1,200 acres and is like none other in the world. Dedicated to man's relationship with the horse, the park features two outstanding museums, twin theaters and nearly 50 different breeds of horses. All of these elements combine to make a visit to the park an enjoyable learning experience for everyone. Admission is included in the registration fee for participants. Additional tickets for guests can be purchased for $36.00 each. Confirmation of intent to attend must be made and purchase of guest tickets made prior to May 14th; availability will not be guaranteed after that date.

Saturday Tour: (Optional event; participant and guest tickets available for purchase)
First stop will be at the world famous Keeneland thoroughbred racetrack; a boxed lunch will be served and time for a quick visit to the gift will be allotted. Next enjoy the spirits of Kentucky with a tasting and tour at the distillery of the year for 2000, Buffalo Trace. See first hand the process of making Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey expertly crafted in the time-honored tradition unique to bourbon. Buffalo Trace begins with the finest Kentucky and Indiana corn, selected rye, and superior malted barley. Together, these grains represent our unique mash bill a trade secret known only by those craftsmen responsible for producing this highest-quality whiskey. On the return trip the tour will take you on a drive through of Donamire Horse Farm a 600 acre, thoroughbred breeding and horse training farm. Tour tickets can be purchased for $35.00 each. Purchase of tickets for the tour must be made prior to May 14th; availability will not be guaranteed after that date.

    2:30 pm-3:00 pm       Depart Keeneland/arrive at Buffalo Trace
    3:00 pm-4:30 pm       Tour Buffalo Trace
    4:30 pm-5:30 pm       Depart Buffalo Trace/drive through Donnamire Farm/Arrive at hotel

Conference rate at the Lexington Hyatt is $89/night. Online registration is available on the hotel website. Transportation between the hotel and the University of Kentucky campus will be provided. Airport and other travel information is available here.
