Welcome

eUreKa! (Experiences in Undergraduate Research and Kreative Activities) is a member of the Chellgren Center for Undergraduate Excellence. The purpose of eUreKa! is to provide coordination and leadership for the many programs at the University of Kentucky that are designed to encourage and support undergraduate research, scholarship, and creativity. By bringing these programs together, they all benefit from the symbiosis of cooperation, and the University receives strengthened programs and more efficient administration. Since high school I have been interested in doing research, but the resources and support I needed were not available. It wasn’t until I came to UK and got involved with the Eureka program that I received support for my scholarly inquiries. Not only was I awarded a summer undergraduate research grant, but I was further encouraged to present my research findings at conferences both on the state and national level. An achievement I thought I would never reach. Eureka has made my undergraduate research activities such a positive experience that I plan to get a PhD and make a career from researching and teaching. Thanks Eureka!
