2004, 151F Taylor Education Bldg., 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Links to Agenda Items (an active
link means the proposal was approved by the Courses and Curricula Committee):
- Changing
Department Name* – Changing Department of Administration and
Supervision (EDA) to Department
of Educational Leadership Studies (EDL).*
- Request
for Change in Undergraduate Program* – From EDSRC, establishes
a new "stand-alone" option for undergraduates pursuing Learning Behavior
Disorders certification. (To this point, all undergraduate LBD students
have needed to choose either Elementary Education or a single area of
Middle School Education as a second certification area.)
- Request
for Change in Undergraduate Program* – From EDC, Elementary
Education-ensuring that at least 3 credits in Chemistry are required.
(This formalizes a common practice by advisors, who have historically
recommended that ELED majors take a Chemistry course.)
- Request for Extension
within Existing Master’s Degree Program – From EDC, Foreign
Language Education – extending current certification in one foreign
language to add another language. Request includes Spanish, French,
German, Russian, and Latin/Classics.
- Request
for New Undergraduate Minor* – From KHP, dance certification.
(This will be a joint program with Eastern Kentucky University.)
- Request

3. Change in
KHP 157 (Track & Field)*
