Cibulka, Dean
Dr.
Cibulka (vita -
in PDF) joined the faculty in 2002 upon becoming
Dean of the College of Education. He came to Lexington
from College Park, Maryland where he was Associate
Dean and Professor at the College of Education at
the University of Maryland. Dr. Cibulkas previous
experience includes serving as Professor and Chairperson
of the Department of Educational Policy and Planning
at Maryland and as Professor and Director of the
Doctoral Program in Urban Education at the University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Cibulka holds a B.A.
from Harvard College and a Ph.D. from The University
of Chicago. |

Rosetta
F. Sandidge,
Associate Dean for Academic and Student Services
Dr. Sandidge (vita in
PDF) holds a Bachelor of Science in Vocational Home Economics Education
from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth and a Master of Science in
Vocational Home Economics Education from the University of Kentucky. Her
areas of academic interest and research include teacher assessment, teacher
induction, classroom management, and gender equity. Dean Sandidge's office
is in 166 Taylor Education

Deborah Slaton, Associate Dean for Research and Graduate
Studies
Dr. Slaton (see
vita in PDF) has been on the faculty in the UK College of Education since 1984. She is a member of the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation Counseling where she previously served as department chair. Her teaching and research interests involve academic interventions for students with learning disabilities. Dr. Slaton earned a B.S. Ed. in a dual major program, elementary education/language and learning disabilities, from Texas Tech University and did her graduate work at the University of Florida where she earned both an M.Ed. and a Ph.D. in special education. |

Tricia
Adolph, Executive Assistant to the Dean
Ms. Adolph received
her B.A. in political science
from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. She
has served as Administrative Services Coordinator II in the Department
of Sociology at USC since 1997, and prior to that as Secretary/Receptionist
in that department. She brings to UK a wealth of knowledge and
skills
concerning the academic enterprise. |

Rita Booth,
Administrative Support Associate
Rita has been with the University since 1984, and joined the College of Education in 2003. She works at the front desk in the Office of the Dean and monitors payment documents for the office. She also serves as the College's SAP resource and copier services manager. |

Faith
Cordray,
College Grants Officer
As
CGO, Faith works with the faculty on the various
aspects of grant proposal development through post-award
management. She hails from Atlanta, Georgia where
she was a contracts officer at the Georgia Institute
of Technology and more recently worked with the U.S.
Army Environmental Policy Institute. She has managed
grants for NIH, NSF, and most other federal agencies
and NGO's. She is assigned to the College of Education
through OSPA. Faith is an alumnus of the University
of Georgia, with a B.S.Ed in Secondary English Education. |

Brad Duncan, Information Specialist
Brad works with the public relations efforts for the College of Education. He got his start in PR in UK Athletics as a media relations assistant in 2000 and moved on to the UK Public Relations office in 2002. Most recently, he was a project manager/editor with HOST Communications Printing and Publishing. |

Bonnie
Gay, Advancement Assistant
Bonnie assists
with development, public relations, alumni, and student activities.
She has been with the University for 18 years. Fifteen of those
were in the medical sector. She
has extensive knowledge in the university's accounting and research
funding systems. Bonnie has lived in Lexington her entire
life. |

Jason
Horger, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean
Jason has worked for the College of Education for nearly ten years. In
addition to helping out his neighbors in the Office of Academic Services
and Teacher Certification, he also maintains the unit's budget and
employment records, processes the college's Dean's List, receives requests
for reinstatement into the college, and works with the Courses & Curricula
committee to get course and program proposals passed. |

Cindy
Jennings, Administrative
Coordinator II
Cindy
oversees all of the colleges payroll transactions
on the Human Resources System (HRS). She is the liaison
between the colleges departments and the universitys
payroll/compensation departments. In addition to
working with HRS, Cindy also has administrative responsibilities
to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
and the Development Office. |

Michelle
Traynor, Administrator Support Associate
Michelle has
been with the University since 1994 and joined the College of Education
in December, 2004. She works as the assistant for the Associate
Dean for Research and Graduate Studies and is responsible for the
College's graduation recognition, registers students for classes
and works with all the college's departments for class room scheduling. |

Mary
Ann Vimont, Director
of Student Activities, Alumni, Community Affairs, and Public
Relations
Mary
Ann works with alumni, special events, and a variety
of developmental efforts such as the annual phonathan
and the capital campaign. She is an Associate Professor
in the department of Curriculum and Instruction and
she is Director of the Economic Education Center.
Her background is in teacher training and curriculum
development. |

Rosemary
Waters, Administrative
Staff Officer
Rosemary
is responsible for planning, managing, reporting,
and accounting for all financial resources in the
college. She oversees six departmental budgets, five
budgets for administrative units, and many grant,
gift, and income accounts. In addition to preparing
the annual budget, Rosemary also prepares special
budget reports for the dean and provost. Rosemary
is the colleges primary resource for interpreting
university and governing regulations for faculty
and staff. |
