General Information


Application Process

Applications are now being accepted for the 2007-08 school year! The application deadline is November 15, 2007. (All efforts will be made to retroactively award fellowship monies for the current Fall 2007 semester if award applications are received on time).

  1. Please complete the UK-NOYCE Fellowship Application. You may email the application (it will automatically email it as a data [xml] file) or you may print off the application and turn it into Ms. Jacqueline Burke, 201 Morgan Bldg (Speed Sort 0225).

  2. Email or send a copy of your transcripts (unofficial is fine) from all collegiate institutions.

  3. Email or send a personal statement (waived for Fall 2007 applications). The personal statement should be no more than 1000 words describing: 1) Why you want to teach mathematics or science; 2) What you feel your strengths as a teacher would be; and 3) What prepares you to be successful to teach in a high-needs school in Kentucky.

  4. Two letters of recommendation prepared by people that can indicate your future success in teaching mathematics or science. The recommendation may come from an individual who is familiar with your character, personality, work ethic, and dependability. Recommendations may be sent directly to Ms. Jacqueline Burke or turned in by the applicant in a signed, sealed envelope. Unsealed recommendations cannot be accepted.

Total Application Packet:

  1. UK-NOYCE Fellows Application (emailed or printed)

  2. Transcripts of ALL college work (unofficial are acceptable) (emailed or printed)

  3. Personal Statement (waived for Fall 2007 applicants) (emailed or printed)

  4. Two letters of recommendation (emailed directly, or mailed/turned in, in a signed, sealed envelope).
